News and Updates:
September 11, 2011 - Gymnastics and Fitness classes are now underway! It’s not too
late to join...check out the gymnastics section on the site to get all the information
you need to be a part of our classes. More events are being added to our Upcoming
Events page so be sure to check back often and save the dates because you won’t want
to miss anything!
September 3, 2011 - Be sure to make your way out to Camp this weekend to get in one
final swim! The pool closes at Sunset on Labor Day. Gymnastics classes start up September
6, so be sure to check out the schedule and fill out your paperwork before coming
to class.
August 28, 2011 - The Camp Committee Picnic was held today at Sokol Camp with many
members and friends in attendance. Be sure the register for gymnastics and fitness
classes soon because they will be starting right after Labor Day. Upcoming Events
include a Meat Shoot at Camp on October 23 and the Halloween Party on October 28.
August 2, 2011 - We have been pretty busy out at our camp...Two great weeks of Children’s
Camping have now come to an end. Thanks to everyone who helped make that a great
time for Campers and Volunteers alike. We still have a couple of events happening
at the camp so be sure to join us for picnics, the Meat Shoot and Halloween Party!
Gymnastics Classes will be starting soon as well so download the registration information
and come down to a Registration Night to sign up!
April 24, 2011 - This week will be the last week for Gymnastics Classes and the 2010-2011
season will conclude with our Exhibition on Saturday Night at 6:00 PM. Following
the Exhibition, the Social Team is hosting an Ice Cream Social to congratulate our
gymnasts on a successful season. Even though we’ve seen a lot of rain recently,
our Camp Committee has been working hard to get our Camp ready for the summer season.
We have some important Work Days coming up and hope you’ll be able to join us for
one!
April 4, 2011 - Last weekend the Camp Committee and some great volunteers spent the
day at Sokol Camp working on the Rock Garden. They made excellent progress on the
project and had a great turnout of volunteers for the day! Hope to see some more
eager helpers on the next Rock Garden Project Day - MAY 7TH.
March 24, 2011 - We had a Night out at Noodles & Company last night and a few friendly
faces were able to make it out to raise a little extra money for Sokol St. Louis.
Thanks to those that attended. Keep an eye out because we’ll be having another
Night Out at Applebee’s coming up soon! March 25th is Exhibition Rehearsal and Camping
Registration night followed my Movie Night!
March 20, 2011 - Thanks to everyone that came to Trivia Night yesterday! We had a
great turnout and I think everyone had a lot of fun. Thanks to the BOI and other
friends and helpers who came together to make the night a success from planning and
advertising to working at the event or donating prizes, it takes a lot of people
to make it happen! Don’t forget Night Out at Noodles & Company this Wednesday!
March 12, 2011 - We’re looking forward to our Trivia Night this weekend! A few tables
are still available - check here to get details and reserve your table! Coming up
after that is our Night Out at Noodles & Company, Movie Night, and Children’s Camping
Registration. Then the Czech Festival on April 9th. Hope to see you around at some
of our upcoming events!
March 8, 2011 - Lots of exciting events coming up at Sokol St. Louis and Sokol Camp
will be opening up to start gearing up for the summer very soon as well! Check here

March 1, 2011 - Children’s Camping Registration Forms are now available here!
February 22, 2011 - This Friday is Game Night at 7:00 PM. Bring your friends and
favorite game down to the hall, this event is open for all ages, members and non-members.
Sunday is the “Celebrate the World: An International Festival” at the Maryland Heights

February 8, 2011 - Remember that our Sokol St. Louis Anniversary Meeting will be
THIS SUNDAY, February 13, 2011 at 3:00 PM. Meet our new officers and members, enjoy
a brief gymnastics demonstration from our Men’s Class, and stay for a light dinner
afterwards.
February 3, 2011 - The Board of Instructors will cancel the Barn Dance due to the
weather conditions. Plan on attending Trivia Night March 19th and save $20 per table
if you pay in advance!
February 3, 2011 - Initial launch of rebuilt Sokol St. Louis website! Stay tuned
as more content will be updated and added over the next several weeks. Look for
