The old Ball field was constructed for the enjoyment of the membership with a backstop and a cinder covered volleyball court in the corner at the end of the first base side.
Once the New Pool was built, it became necessary to think of creating a new ball field as the location made it possible to hit long balls directly into the Pool. The fire hydrant was also added to the third base corner of the field to make water more accessible. The field is now used for recreational activities as well as overflow parking.
